Appearance: Van is somewhat all, at a bit over 6 feet with an average build. He usually wears a large red and black trench coat, with a black t shirt under it. He also has a pair of large black goggles and jet black eyes. He dons a pair of black baggy pants. He wears a black fedora hat, under it is shoulder high black hair, with it combed pointing to the right. He wears big black army boots and black open finger gloves. He has 2 leather holsters for his guns and a large strap around his chest for his bullets. Van wears a custom made belt buckle with his jolly roger in silver.
History: Van was young when he learned about guns. His father repared them for the people of his town.
Living in the grandline, the peopleused weapons to protect themselves. At the age of 7, a group of pirates invaded his town.With the towns weapons expertise, the pirates were killed. But when the Marins caught wind of this, they arrested his father, who took the whole blame.Van never got over his fathers arrest. And when he read of his fathers execution, he swore revenge. He spent the next several years of his life training. This training made him stronger than he was before, and gave him great swimming skills. And at the age of 19, left for his journey on the sea. After sometime on the sea, he ran into some marines and got into a fight. His gunning down of those marines got him a small bounty.
Personality: Van is a serious loner, he's also quite sarcastic. He has a real hatred for the marines. He's also cynical and became selfish with time.He also has little tolerance for incompetence. When he battles, he becomes more maniacle and in a way, demonic. His sense of humor is sarcastic, usually laughing at things he says or does to other people. But Deep down, Van is a truly caring person. He'd easily throw his own life away to save a certain group of people, not that he'd ever admit it.
