Stands 5'6" and looks younger than he really is. Is muscular, but it doesn't show through the clothes he wares giving him the look of a weakling and causing his foes to underestimate him constantly. Tends to have a smug look on his face constantly, this fact annoys enemies greatly.
History: Derge was born into a warrior clan of a revolutionary village in East Blue. The village was unknown to most other that the village it's self and to the higher ups of the World Government. Every now and again the Marines would raid the village and it's people trying to find out what knowledge of the blank era they possessed. The Steel Village contain many documents that translated the texts of the blank era and worked in secret with the people of Ohara. Trusted with the information by the very people that died to protect it, the Steel Village has alway been targeted by the World Government.
Almost from birth, Derge like any other village of the Steel Village was trained in combat and weapon mastery. The first five years of Derge's life was spent with his family, his father prepared him the best he could for when he turned five. When children of the Steel Village turned five years old they were taken away from their families by a caretaker and trained for 10 years. After the ten years they return to their family as an adult and a warrior. Derge's training was hell, he would have rather died than spend another day with that woman he call the demon.
The demon trained Derge to the bone day after day, week after week, month after month, and year after year for 10 whole years. By the time the ten years had passed Derge had become a man and a fine warrior in line to inherit the title of Village Chief Elder. However a snag got in Derge's way, his unknown elder brother Iken. Being four years older Iken had gone into care taker training nearly a year after Derge was born, thus Derge had no idea he had and elder brother. Not until the day he left his caretaker did Derge every think he had a brother. Meeting his brother for the first time Derge didn't say a word, he however did take a swing at the brother.
That swing resulted in the much stronger Iken shattering Derge's arm in four places. Years past, fights between the brothers became common place in the village. Every fight they engaged in Iken won, until the day Iken began his Elder Style training at the age of 25. At that point Derge's and Iken's fighting skills were on completely different levels. Iken didn't even have to try to win and soon Derge gave up fighting his brother and settled down.
At 25 years old Derge has his first child exactly one year after his brother had his. The child was named after his father, and thus named Derge Jr.. This was also the year Derge began his training with the Elder Style of the Namikaze technique. After one year of training Derge had mastered the basics of the style and thus challenged Iken to a fight. It was a disaster, Iken destroyed Derge and put him into a critical condition.
Derge left the village and abandoned his new born baby, only a few weeks later. However before he could make a complete getaway he was confronted by his father and the village Chief Elder at the time. "Son, my son, where do you plan on going? You know no man has ever left our village to join THEM and survived to tell the story." said Iken Sr., the grandfather of the current Derge and Iken said while all the time knowing full well where his son was going. "Father you know where I'm going and what I'm going to do. So this is your last chance, kill me now." Derge said holding his arms out.
The old man didn't kill his son that day, despite his intentions. A gift was what Derge received when he should have only received death, he obtained one of the Steel Village's twin weapons, The Cut Pugnis potest et deus - Fists of Rejection. With out another word the two men parted ways only to meet many years later. 19 years later Derge returned to the island of his birth with orders to kill his entire village. In the 19 years Derge mastered the Elder Style Namikaze techniques, mastering the various forms of Rokushiki, became a high ranking Marine on his way to Vice Admiral. All he needed for the promotion was a successful mission.
Before the mission started a something happened that put his mind at ease. His son would be safe from the attack since he join the Marines himself. Derge followed out his orders and killed everyone in the Steel Village at the time, however since the village had evacuated only a few died in the initial attack. Many more deaths followed, one after another fell as they attack Derge and his Marines. Even the brother that he could never beat before fell to his might. An order went out, "Kill everyone still alive!" yelled Derge, though he didn't want to, but it was necessary.
Despite the order Derge suspected a good number of Steel Villagers had escaped, however this was on long his problem. They were no longer with in the Steel Village so his orders were complete. There was one man however his son demanded to track down, Iken. Derge and Derge Jr. set out, Derge trained his son and gave him his choice of devil fruit. For two years they trained for the battle that was to come. After the two years Derge continued the hunt, however all they found was a frail looking old man. The trail they had on Iken died there with that frail looking old man. Derge eventually went back to his everyday duties and was promoted to Vice Admiral allowing him to appoint his son as a Marine sponsored bounty hunter.
Personality: Derge worries a lot about his past actions. They are always on his mind and this makes him second guess and even second act. He worries that his son is the antichrist and what he'll do if left unsupervised. He has an incredible urge to try to repay his nephew somehow,but doesn't know how. Normally he's very cocky and this shows in battles like a signal fire. His usually smug look and personality causes some enemies to go into rages, however they get the feeling that's what he wants them to do.
